Carer Support Dorset support carers of all ages (including young carers), who are caring for someone who lives in the Dorset Council area. BCP Young Carers
There is support for young carers caring for someone in the BCP area. For GPs to make a referral to request support and assessment for a young carer you must contact the Children's First Response Hub on 01202 123334 or childrensfirstresponse@bcpcouncil.gov.uk. Requests can be made by young people themselves, families or professionals.
My Time Young Carers
My time supports young carers aged 5 to 25 years, siblings and young adult carers.
MyTime offer residential and day events for young carers. They also provide educational talks in schools and will talk to Young carers groups.

Leonardo Trust
The Leonardo Trust is a Dorset-wide carers charity and works with carers of all ages. They can provide one to one counselling support and funding to support a young carers hobby such as xbox subscription or arts and craft materials.
Honeypot
A national young carers charity offering respite breaks, outreach support and support services for young carers aged 5-12 years. They give young carers a break from demanding and stressful responsibilities at home and provide a safe, nurturing environment where children at risk can develop their full potential.
Barnados
National charity providing support to young carers across the UK. Barnados provide a range of support from arranging outings to helping the family get support from social services and much more.
